I'm a Big Kid Now

This is a follow up to my recent rant about my route to the gym by bicycle. The thrust of the complaint concerns "having" to take alternate routes to get there rather than bike on the side of the road (without amenities like designated bike lanes or shoulders). Well, I decided the other day to put on the Big Kid Pants™ and try my luck on the scary road. I'm obviously alive to tell the tale.

Fitness Update: One Year Later

Holy cow. I was minding my own business, tending to my mostly daily exercise plan, and realized that February 3 was my 1 year anniversary.

Alrighty, the final fitness update for 2007. I'm feeling pretty good about my personal progress, and believe that I have laid a solid foundation going into 2008. Let's run down the latest numbers, and then I'll close the year out with some reflection and optimism.
