Interesting and Notable Scrapbook Layouts 2

Another heaping helping of layouts and concepts that have caught my eye:

Surf's Up: Minimal layout, effective presentation.

Turquoise: ...is the new pink. Gotta love how the page title is defiantly (ironically?) pink. More great minimalism.

The Great Debate: This is kind of silly, but I like the way the creator opted to use the specialty paper to invoke some of the superheroes rather than using embellishments and so forth. Apparently Spidey warrants the royal treatment.

Have Bike, Will Travel: Not much in the way of context here, just artsy fartsy expression by the creator.

Cherish: Same here.

Rain Delay: Interesting use of what would otherwise be a "throwaway" photo, which takes center stage. Poor kid!

What I'd Tell This Girl: Excellent HS graduation one-pager.

Wait for Me, Daddy: Family photo gets the artsy-fartsy treatment.

Mismatched Kate: I love that enlarged photo technique at the top of the page. I've seen some really visually appealing layouts that use it. This is one example.

From Pee to Wee: OK, this layout isn't particularly technically brilliant, but this once again proves that literally anything can be scrapped. Literally.

V Fingers - Why? Another great example of providing added context to photos through clever scrapbook layouts.

Shadows: More proof that anything can be made into a scrapbook layout - once again, something normally overlooked.

Energy: Artsy treatment of related photos.

You're Beautiful: Considering how burned out I am on that song, very effective use of song lyrics to cap off an uber-artsy layout.

En Los Brazos de Mamá: Interesting layout using fabric and sewing techniques.

Spit Baby: I'll say it a million times... some people will make scrapbook layouts about anything and everything. Excellent layout considering the subject matter. But then again, what else could you say about a 2 month-old baby?

Celebrate 2 Years: Another random kid, more amazing photography. Yawn.

Lick: Another masterpiece of minimalism.

Still Growing: I'd imagine that it's tough to make a scrapbook layout about yourself. This layout was expertly created and really packs a visual wallop. Interesting approach to the "if you could only say one thing about yourself for posterity, what would it be" question.

Dance With Me: Marlena and I didn't dance at our wedding, but this is a great idea for wedding albums that have pro and family-snapped pictures. Definitely something to consider for our wedding album.

We Were There: WOW. I love the "evidence" embellishment at the top, and the dymo-tape location information. Really, what I hope to aspire to someday layout-wise.

Bird Watcher: Stunning layout that captures the central theme with aplomb. Very inspiring.

See you in the crop room! <EM>
