In the Kitchen: Roasted Garlic Cloves

This is one of those techniques that is good to have in the ole back pocket. Mar and I love us some garlic, and roasting it really adds an extra dimension. This is really easy to do and can be made prior to cooking whatever you plan to use it for.

You will need:

  • Aluminum foil
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  • Kosher salt

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees (F). Peel and cut the garlic, and lay the cloves onto a square of foil like so:

Next, sprinkle some kosher salt on the garlic.

Fold the foil up around the garlic so that it is a flat, small packet:

Once the oven reaches the full temperature, slip the packet in there for 15 minutes.

Remove the packet (it shouldn't be very hot, but be careful) and unwrap.

The garlic will be roasted and mushy.

Enjoy! Let me know how it turns out. <EM>
