I upgraded our CMS software last night, and am still working out the kinks. Some modules that worked with the previous version are no longer viable, so things will look slightly (or radically) different around here. For some reason this site is not producing full web feeds. For those of you (whoever you are) who care about that stuff, I'm working on restoring them to their former glory.
(Same-day update: I found the setting to restore the feeds to "full text." Carry on.)
Other tweakiness:
- Due to massive spamming, I disabled Trackbacks a long time ago. I added a "black hole" option to reduce the load on the site/host. Just sayin'.
- Also due to massive spamming, I have added a "captcha" image to hopefully reduce/eliminate annoyances. Next stop: Requiring registration for commenting. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.
- I'm still using Google Video to provide the streaming video functionality for our cooking videos, but am working on an in-house solution. Supposedly FlowPlayer factors into this somehow, but it's been tricky to set up. Stay tuned, as t'were. (Same-day update: I solved the mystery of my chosen in-house Flash solution, so Google Video has been removed and replaced with the in-house stuff. Sorry for any inconvenience.)
- The front page will be redesigned sometime over the next week. Hoo-ah.
- Our contact link broke. I fixed it, but since Google doesn't seem to catch on to permanent link changes, some people may think that we're antisocial. Well, kinda, but we welcome your feedback anyway.
Thanks for your patience! We're working hard to make this one of the sites that you visit occasionally. <EM>
