The unexpected benefit of "borrowing" my cousin Steve's room this past weekend was that I was able to sneak a photo of the placard that he and the University of Wisconsin football team received after the 2006 Capital One Bowl:
(Click the image to see the large-sized version.)
Steve went to the same high school as #3 (on the left) Ben Strickland, and #72 (2nd row) Joe Thomas. You may have seen Joe's picture elsewhere, like in the 8/21 issue of Sports Illustrated.
Not sure why UWM has two #3s. There can only be one!
I bought a "Wisconsin" t-shirt yesterday. I am sooo ready for college football season, a week later. Gooooo Steve! Gooooo Badgers! <EM>

It's not uncommon in college for there to be duplicate numbers. Usually one is on offense and the other on defense. At one point (maybe currently), the University of Houston's star offensive player and star defensive player were both #4. I think all that matters is that they not be on the field at the same time.
