Note: The Vision Thing is finally being laid to rest. As this podcast continues to draw significant interest from the wine-loving community, I have moved it here and will ask that the winery update its website accordingly. This was back when I was using an alias instead of my real name when I was blogging. How silly in retrospect, huh? Also, the wine shipping laws have changed in the US since this interview. This originally "aired" on March 9, 2005.

This program was called “From Grape to Glass”. It features an extended interview with Audrey House, owner of the Chateau Aux Arc winery in Altus, Arkansas.
Notable Items:
Hear the answers to these and other questions:
- Did she really start the place up while living in a tent?
- How have restrictions on interstate wine shipments affected her business?
- How did her 4 years at the University of Oklahoma contribute to her success?
- What’s it like to run a winery?
- How many wineries does she visit yearly?
Here is my new recorder that Audrey got a kick out of:

Note: You will notice that the audio quality is quite different from what I normally produce(d). As seen above, the stereo mic throws a 360-degree arc around us and really draws you in to the ambience. We sat on the front porch of the tasting room, and you’ll hear the people inside the tasting room, birds in the trees, leaves blowing by, gusts of wind (it’s not me breathing for a change), Audrey tapping her wine glass, and more. Wear headphones for the full experience. But we are audible in the foreground, no worries. I am just amazed at the sound quality this little thing puts out.
Here are some of her soon to be world-famous dogs (no names, sorry):
